OUR STORY
It all began when clients would ask founder of W.Rubens and former stylist, Michael Shuttleworth, the same question:
“WHERE CAN I GET A GOOD WHITE T-SHIRT?”
Michael didn’t know. That’s when he realized something was missing. A style was missing.
And so the idea for W.Rubens was born. Nothing new or revolutionary. Just the idea to create a collection of beautifully made white T-shirts, using the finest fabrics, and investing in British talent.
OUR MISSION
Every Rubens T-shirt is a work of craftsmanship, released in limited collections. We source the best fabrics, working with suppliers who care about the welfare of their workers and the planet. Our collections are produced to order from our small atelier in London, England, where we employ local workers.
By doing this, we respect the integrity of every style. Each Rubens is made with an individual sense of identity and exclusivity. Resulting in the perfect white T-Shirt — minimalist, timeless, and iconic.

Our T-Shirts are a luxurious take on an everyday classic. Fusing tradition and innovation, we combine unexpected and often juxtaposing influences in our designs. Using techniques from bespoke tailoring and suiting, our T-shirts are crafted with precision and detail.
But W. Rubens is anything but rigid. We are hungry for inspiration, travelling the world and collecting experiences. So that a single design can reference anything from classic sportswear to global cultures, past and present.
While our inspiration roams free, we stay true to a single white BCI cotton fabric, manufactured in Busto Arizio, Italy. This guarantees consistency in both look and feel, but it also means we can give our manufacturers and suppliers ongoing commitment.
